Art Exhibition at Grand Opening Reception of

“The Club at Boynton Beach”

Criteria for This Exhibit: this event is a grand opening event for “The Club at Boynton Beach” assisted living and memory care community, and artists are not required to meet a specific theme, but the event theme is BUTTERFLIES, in honor of the owner’s/builder’s grandmother who loved butterflies.  The owner will be in attendance.

This is a very high-end event where the guests must register and will be taken on a tour of each area of the community, including the four rooms where the artists will be set up. The event host is limiting the number of guests to about 125 people, due to the custom nature of the tour.

The event will include full buffet food, which the artists may join in eating. The event will include live music inside and outside, including a classical trio of musicians, and a full bar inside and outside, and a coffee bar. There will also be an aerialist ballet dancer entertainer as well as hosts dressed as butterflies. There will be a ribbon cutting with the Mayor/Commissioners and Chamber of Commerce. There will also be photo booths set up. Demonstrations from the community’s vendors will occur at the same time. It is likely the host will invite the media.

Artist Intake Date ONLY: Set-up same day of event, Thursday, February 29, 2024, arrive at 2:00 pm

Artist Pickup Date ONLY: Take home anything not sold, same day at end of event, Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 7 pm

Art Display: Accepted artists will be assigned by Broward Art Guild to one of four rooms inside the facility, to exhibit up to 5 art pieces per artist. Each artist will be provided with either one 6×6 table, provided by the facility, or each artist may bring his/her own table-top easels or floor easels.

There are a limited number of easels available at the Guild gallery, available to members to borrow – if you wish to borrow, you must pick-up from, transport, and return easels to the Guild gallery. On a first-come, first-served basis.

You are expected to be near your work during the event time 4-7 pm. We will not accept your work nor display your work without you present for set-up AND for the entire event. There will be free parking on-site plus free valet parking. Given the driving distance to Boynton, you may want to pair up with other artists to commute together.

This event has limited space, with select rooms specifically assigned to Broward Art Guild, so there will be a limited number of artists accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, as space and quality permit. There is no entry fee. Artist may submit up to five pieces (nine for jewelry) and they will be accepted as space and quality permit. Family-friendly and children-friendly artwork, please.

Broward Art Guild will take its usual 30 percent of purchase price. Broward Art Guild will process the sales and will collect the sales tax.
