Bio

Multi-talented artist working in a variety of mediums.

At one time my artwork was more “craft” in nature painting wood crafts, creating tabletop holiday ornaments, wedding albums, etc. I have done some graphic design work over the years, however, most of my work is made by hand. From crafts I moved into stained-glass, followed by acrylics, coloring meditations and mixed media. Some of my paintings were inspired by original stained-glass designs and vice versa. I have always sketched but challenged myself to start creating coloring meditations after growing tired of repetitive design elements in a book I was coloring. More recently I have been experimenting with mixed media. Like stained-glass, it allows for the use of both color and texture to convey motion, dimension, etc. There are some pieces, like Linus, which were designed to be fun to paint. The original was painted on an oil drum as part of Port Everglades Ship-Shape event – when using latex on steel anything can go wrong. I loved the result so I painted Linus on canvas.

I have participated in several art exhibits through the Broward Art Guild. Additionally, I have participated in Flamingo Fest at Flamingo Gardens and Ship Shape at Port Everglades on multiple occasions.
