Exhibiting June & July, 2024: Vivian Weinstein Brisman

Exhibit Title – Nature

Statement

I have always loved animals and nature. They are a major inspiration in the work that I do. I find inspiration in all kinds of creatures, both domestic and wildlife, big, small, or in between. I like to draw attention to a moment in time, an emotion, or a special quality that deserves attention in animal life. This relates to all the art that I create – portraits, landscapes and still life. I sometimes find that I can express something better through one of these genres, so they are a part of my art repertoire as well. My work expresses my connection with our environment. I have a need to create – to take something that exists in the real world and I combine it with my imagination to create an art form. When people enjoy my work, it makes me happy.
