Human Image Exhibit (Competitive)

A celebration of the human form in all its glory. From parts to poses, nuances to nudes… this exhibit has it covered (and uncovered). Artists deliver their interpretations in a variety of media and artistic styles, bringing together a collection of various perspectives on the human form. Paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and jewelry will be on display.

Location: Broward Art Guild Gallery, 3280 NE 32nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308

Gallery Hours: Wed., Fri., Sat., noon–9pm; Thurs., noon–6pm

Free Public Reception: Saturday, September 2, 2023, 5:30-8:30pm. Join us to cast a ballot for the People’s Choice award.

Criteria for this exhibit: Human body must be the focus of artwork. Any and all body parts included. Open medium and style for 2D, 3D, and jewelry.

Entry Deadline: Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Artist Intake: ONLY Sat. August 26, 2023 by appointment.

Artist Pickup: Fri., September 22, 2023 and Sat., September 23, 2023

Claudio NolascoAbout the Judge, Claudio Nolasco

Claudio Nolasco is a Dominican-born photographer, currently residing in Miami, Florida, where he is an assistant professor and aread head of electronic media at the University of Miami. Nolasco holds a Master’s of Fine Arts from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from The Cooper Union School of Art. He has exhibited at such galleries as Art in General, Torrance Shipman Gallery, and the Lipany Gallery at Fordham University in New York City, the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center in Philadelphia, PA, and the Miami Dade College Art Gallery in Miami, FL. His work has been published by Capricious Magazine, Oranbeg Press and Unseen Magazine, and has been featured by Phases Magazine, The Swap, and Anewnothing.com.
