Celebrating Black History & Culture 2025 (Competitive)

Black history and culture encompasses a rich and diverse legacy with key themes that include the struggles against oppression, the contributions to arts and sciences, and the celebration of resilience and community. Black history and culture are integral to understanding the broader human experience, showcasing the strength, creativity, and impact on our collective American tapestry.

Gallery Hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 12:00pm to 6:00pm

 

Free Public Reception: Saturday, February 1, 2025, 5:30-8:30pm Join us and cast your ballot for the People’s Choice award.

 

Exhibit Run Dates: January 30 – February 21, 2025

 


 

CALL FOR ARTISTS

 

Criteria for This Exhibit: Artwork to represent Black History, whether persons or events, as well as representations of black culture in America. Open medium, and style for 2D, 3D, and ­jewelry.

 

Entry Fees: BAG Members – $25 for first entry, $15 each for second and third entry. Non-members: $45 for first entry, $20 each for second and third entry.

 

Entry Deadline: Wednesday, January 15, 2025

 

Artist Intake: ONLY Saturday, January 25, 2025, by appointment

 

Artist Pickup: Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22, 2025
