Criteria for This Exhibit: Artworks to showcase any flowers or plant life, including lichens & fungi.

Artist Intake: Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, 2024, by appointment.

Artist Pickup: Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24, 2024, by appointment.

About the judge, Steven Sylvester

In 26 years of concentrated efforts in the arts, Fort Lauderdale resident Steven Sylvester has been an art wholesale supply business owner, nonprofit organization founder, workshop and event instructor, advocate for community involvement, clay art sculptor, judge across all artistic disciplines, and always a mentor. His notable clay art sculpting accomplishments include: The Friends of ArtServe Wall Mural; Special Artist in Residence, Coral Springs Museum of Art, with Peter King and Xinia Marin and The Gateway to Peace, a ceramic archway in the gardens.

His public art projects include Allied Artist, Terrazzo Floor project, Terminal Three, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
He has a passion for landscape gardening, and garden art—and combining the two.
