Elder Care Art Education Program
Bringing Art, Therapy,
and Community Together
The Elder Care Art Education Program is a unique initiative that empowers seniors through creativity, connection, and community. Combining art workshops, therapeutic engagement, and public exhibitions, this program is designed to enhance mental well-being, foster social connections, and celebrate the creative achievements of seniors in Broward County.
Program Highlights
• Art Workshops: Explore painting, drawing, and mixed media in engaging sessions led by professional artists.
• Adaptive Techniques: Tailored tools and methods ensure seniors of all abilities can participate, regardless of physical challenges.
• Therapeutic Approach: Licensed therapist reviews our curriculum to ensure it properly guides participants to explore emotions and personal stories through art.
• Community Engagement: Workshops are brought directly to senior centers, assisted living facilities, and community organizations. Plus we can host workshops at our art gallery.
• Exhibitions: Participants’ artwork will be showcased in mid-year and final exhibitions, celebrating their creativity and fostering community pride.
• Metrics: Success tracked through attendance, pre- and post-program surveys and feedback.
Why It Matters
Seniors often face challenges such as isolation, emotional distress, and limited access to enriching activities. Together we can:
• Enhance emotional well-being through art therapy
• Build social connections and reduce isolation
• Provide accessible creative outlets for self-expression
• Celebrate senior artists and their contributions to the community
