BAG Mission Statement:
Believing that art is vital to a thriving community,
Broward Art Guild brings the transformative power of art through exhibits and education to people of all ages and backgrounds while providing opportunities for local artists to grow professionally.

For the foreseeable future, how we manage exhibits will need to be modified to accommodate the current state of health concerns. In an effort to minimize contact we will be initiating the following procedures at our gallery. We want you to know what to expect, so we can navigate the new normal and keep art alive while being responsible. We are in this together, and we each have our part to play to make the experience mutually successful. We believe these inconveniences are necessary, as we choose to err on the side of caution. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

Art Must Go On!

Broward Art Guild brings you our Summer Sizzle Salon Exhibit, back in our gallery!

  • Antibacterial gel will be available for use at the front door, and at various appropriate locations throughout the gallery.
  • Our staff and volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves.
  • Due to capacity restrictions, we will be permitting no more than 11 guests at a time into the gallery.
  • As such, we will be scheduling groups during the event exhibit opening in 25-minute blocks, starting at 4 pm. This will give us a 5-minute window in between groups to sanitize surfaces and the bathroom before the next group enters.
  • Please coordinate with friends to ensure you can visit in the same group.
  • To reserve your space for a specific time slot, please visit our website, http://www.BrowardArtGuild.org, and follow the instructions.
  • If you arrive early, please remain outside, socially distanced, until your group is called.
  • Masks will be required. No exceptions.
  • Upon arrival, you will have your temperature scanned. Persons with temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit will not gain entry into the gallery. Sorry.
  • There will be directional indicators and 6-foot space markers on the floor, to facilitate flow through the exhibit and social distancing. Persons from the same household can occupy the same 6-foot-distanced space.
  • We will not be offering refreshments at this time.
  • Counter spaces will be protected with clear plastic dividers.
  • We will announce a 5-minute warning before your time slot is about to end.
  • When your group's time is up, please exit the gallery systematically, following the directional indicators and exhibiting social distancing. This will give us time to sanitize before the next group enters. No mad rush to the door, please :).
  • Thank you!

Call for Artists

Criteria for this exhibit: Open theme, open medium (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and jewelry) and style. Artwork does not need to reflect the season.

The New Normal...

  • Our entry deadlines will be set about a week and a half earlier than previous gallery exhibits to accommodate the rest of the internal process we need to manage. We will be using a pre-registration format ONLY. Deadline is July 16, 2020.
  • We will now be using online entry forms, much like we have been doing for the two virtual exhibits. We will not, for the time being, produce paper flyers, entry forms, etc., to reduce potential contamination.
  • Entry fees will be paid online through our website (via PayPal), or cash/check payments can be made at our gallery during regular business hours. Please call 954-537-3370 to coordinate with staff if dropping off payment.
  • JPG Images will need to be sent in along with your online application. The judge will be choosing the pieces for the show from these images, so be sure they are good quality, and a clear representation of the work.
  • Artists will be notified the Wednesday or Thursday prior to the drop-off date (July 22 or 23 for this exhibit) as to whether or not their piece(s) have been accepted into the exhibit. At that time, we will be scheduling drop-off times to keep contact with others to a minimum.
  • ACCEPTED works will be dropped off the Saturday before the opening, which is the usual timeframe (July 25 for this exhibit). Artists will be assigned time slots in which to drop-off their work. We will be handling sign-in of works and receipts at the counter in the back of the gallery.
  • Upon arrival, you will have your temperature scanned. Persons with temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit will not gain entry into the gallery. You must wear a mask during drop-off.
  • Please do not linger after dropping off your work.

  • Thank you!
