“I developed my interest in art from my great-uncle, Mariano Sola, who worked as a mural painter in Naples, Italy. My interest in art took me to Fordham University, where I earned a BA in Art History. I often look to the history of art for inspiration and direction in my own work. In the late 1990s, I began studying with the Abstract Expressionist, Al Razza, where I received the more formal art instruction I lacked. His encouragement to move in new and challenging directions enabled me to find the confidence to develop myown style…”
